Description

1914–15 Star, a campaign medal awarded to members of the British and Imperial forces who served in World War I.

The medal is a four-pointed star with a crown at the top point.

The front of the medal features two crossed swords, a wreath of oak leaves, and the Royal cypher of King George V, "GV," at the bottom.

A scroll at the center of the wreath reads "1914-15".

The medal was awarded to those who served between August 5, 1914, and December 31, 1915.

Recipients of the 1914–15 Star were also automatically qualified for the British War Medal and the Victory Medal. This trio of medals was popularly known as "Pip, Squeak, and Wilfred"
